What happened to December
So it is Saturday and Emily woke up at 5:50 for a bottle. Will somebody please tell my children that on Saturday, Mommy and Daddy really really really would love to sleep until there is a peep of daylight seeping through the windows. I mean really, is that too much to ask? So as I was laying there trying to go back to sleep, I started to get super excited because we are only a week from Christmas! WHAT! The, oh I have plenty of time to finish up mindframe that has settled in to my brain for the last few weeks has now vanished and been replaced by a panicked you gotta get out there and finish up your shopping mindframe! Michael is keeping all three of the children on Tuesday for me to go and finish up and I ask that you pray for my husband as he has never had all three for any more that 2 or 3 hours by himself. Although they are little, my children can make a grown person cry if they want to! I now know that feeling that my parents had on Christmas morning as they watched us open our presents. It was like they were getting presents. I used to feel sorry for them because they never got eachother anything. Now I completely get it! Allie asked me what I wanted for Christmas and I told her that watching her and Joshua open there gifts was my present. She didn't get it. She will one day!

Here I Am
I know I know. Here she goes again right. Well I do have a good excuse for not blogging this time. My precious father in law passed away, then my internet was down for about three weeks, then Michael's computer crashed, then...I could go on but I won't. I know what you want to hear about and see!
Emily now takes a bottle which she absolutely loves. She has gained two pounds in about three weeks and is finally looking like a seven month old! Can you believe that: SEVEN MONTHS! Oh my word time has flown! She sits up and copies us and lights up our world with her unmatched preciousness!
Allie is still homeschooling, has now lost another tooth, and is as sweet and down right sassy as ever! She is really a great kid. She tells on herself even when she knows she won't get caught cause she feels bad, she melts when she knows she has upset me or her daddy, and she tries her hardest to be little mommy to Emibear. Love her to death.
Joshua, well lets just say he is all all all boy. He never stops, ever. He is the one I have to follow around and say, okay what are you up to now? He is horrible in church, horrible in the grocery store, but the coolest kid you'll ever want to meet. He really is. We just have to get past these horrible 3's!

This past weekend we were blessed with a wonderful semi annual meeting. Elder Hugh Sanders was with us and let me tell you, if you have never had the good fortune of being with this man, you have missed out. He has such an awesome gift to preach and is quick to give God all of the glory. He has a tender heart towards everyone but especially children. Joshua calls his brother "Q" so that is now what we call him. We love brother "Q" and feel so blessed to have had him in our home and with our church!

I Spy Emily
Love this picture. While I was teaching Allie yesterday I turned around to this! Joshua gave Emily all of her "babies" and he decided to become a baby himself. He loves his little sister so much and is so sweet with her 95% of the time. We won't talk about the other 5%!
Little Chatterbox
This little thing loves to hear herself talk. I find myself trying to talk over her during school and of course Allie pays her more attention than me, but can you really blame her?

Big Boy, Little Darlin
I took Joshua for his 3 year checkup and Emily for her 4 month checkup the other day. I was so pleased to see how much Joshua has grown over the summer. I was concerned about him for a while because he just looked unhealthy and he never ate! Since we have started homeschooling for whatever reason, I think it is the constant routine and structured schedule, he has developed an awesome appetite and has gained three pounds! He was in the 34th percentile for weight and 60th for height. Hmm, wonder if he's gonna take after his daddy:)
Emi Bear is my petite little darlin! She weighed in at a whoppin 12pnds 11oz (10th percentile) and was 24 inches long (30th percentile) Now all of you who know me know that if Allie had been so small I would have had a mini stroke over worry, gone home and stuffed her with formula and applesauce and whatever else I could have found! But, after much growth in this area (thank you Lord) I do not worry over little things like this any more. In fact, I am quite happy that I have me a tiny little petite darlin! Her doc said she is perfectly healthy and proportioned. She made the comment one time that she wished there were a different growth chart for breastfed babies bc they just arent as big as formula fed babies. Anyone who has seen Emily's chunky monkey legs knows that child isn't lacking for anything.
Well, my brain is mush. Emi woke up at 11,12, 1, 3, 5, and finally 6:30. I think she is still feeling bad from her shots. Today will probably be a tv day. I usually don't turn it on until after 4:00 for the kids, but Joshua's sweet little voice is already getting on my nerves so I have decided, short school day, TV TV TV!
Allie Got gum in her hair. Allie was saying, Mama just cut it to which her daddy said, we're not cutting your hair, be still! He loves her long hair!

Breaking News!
Apparently, in the world of a five year old, losing a tooth is a major deal and a huge right of passage to biggirlhood!
Everything is about the same around the Hataway household. Joshua is still 100% boy, Emily is still 100% precious, and Allie is still 100% sassy but sweet. We have had a wonderful week. I think my favorite part of the whole week was our bible lesson on Abraham and Isaac. The program that I am using is wonderful and does not really sugar coat the wonderful stories of the bible. As we went through the story and finally ended with the fact that it pointed to Christ and how that God would sacrifice his own Son Jesus one day to pay the penalty for our sin, Allie's eyes were big and glassy and my eyes weren't very dry either! I looked at her and she looked so concered and I asked her what she was thinking to which she replied, "I'm just thinking about all of those bad things I've every done." I learned through this experience that children will surprise you at how much they can take in and learn and feel. We were able to end the week on an awesome note by visiting the fellowship meeting held at Cool Springs. The preaching and fellowship were awesome! I was able to see my dearest friend and her new baby and it was so good to see them and hold that precious little one! I miss you Amanda!!!
On a sad note, The primitive baptist community mourns the loss of a dear saint, Elder Robert Torrance. He spent his life serving God and His people, and will be sorely missed in the middle Ga area and beyond! He has fed my soul many times with the truth of the gospel and it warms my heart to know that he is in the very presence of God.
I will leave you with pictures of my precious angels.

Out of the mouth of babes!
Allie: Mommy, if our skin gets burned, what will happen?
Me: Well, it would hurt really bad and it would be rough. It would never really look the same
