Allie's first diaper change.

I should have given her a poopie!!

Major Achievement

Emily accomplished what every baby must acheive soon after they become mobile. No, I am not reffering to pulling up nor am I reffering to walking. No, this is one that is often overlooked but major in the world of babies. Emily made a huge discovery yesterday......my hiding place for pots and pans!!!
What, I'm not doin anything!
Ok Ok! You got me!
But I don't care cause it's so much fun!

Peek A Boo

She reminds me so much of Allie as a baby. This brings me back to about five years ago when I did this with Allie.

Imposters

So I woke up today and realized something. My children are gone. My children have been replaced with imposters. My Allie should not be reading and spitting out addition facts and coloring inside the lines and setting up movies and the wii all by herself! My Allie should not look so grown up and act so big girlish. My Joshua should not be talking so fluently and entertaining himself for hours at the time. My Joshua should not be brushing his own teeth and picking out his own clothes. My Joshua should not look so grown up and act so big boyish! My Emily should not be crawling around and finding herself in every crease and crevice. My Emily should not be old enough to give me attitude when she doesn't get her way. My Emily should not be trying to make me laugh or be playing peek a boo. So I wonder, where are my children. What have these imposters done with them? If you find my children, please don't tell them what I am about to tell you. Please don't tell them that I love these imposters every bit as much if not more than them!

Field Trip

We had a wonderful time yesterday on our most recent field trip. Gail Hall, a precious friend of mine who also started homeschooling this year, and I brought the kids to Dauset Trails and Indian Springs yesterday. Dauset Trails has animals from otters to bison. We had such a good time that we kept the party going and brought them to Indian Springs. It was nice to take a day off from the phonics and numbers aspect of school and just have fun! Of course we made them read the signs and tell us what they said and we talked about educational things, but I don't think the kids even caught on to that. We just had a ball.

On a side note, guess who finally started crawling!!! I will have a video on here soon of my little Emibear crawling everywhere. It was like one day she wasn't interested in the least about crawling and the next day she's everywhere!! We were all cheering for her and making a big deal about it and she just looked at us like we were crazy and crawled on her merry little way!

My Little Helpers

Joshua loves to help me clean. The only bad thing about this is he loves to use my vinegar water to clean everything. He used about a whole bottle in the bathtub and I do not have to tell you what my house smelled like when he was done. They helped me vaccuum, straighten up and babysit Emibear. All the while I was grinning thinking that when I actually need their help they will run as fast as they can to get away from me. That's ok, we'll burn that bridge when we get there! As of right now, they are my sweet little darlings that love to please their mommy! And  by the way, does Joshua not look like my brother Adam in this picture!
